Why ‘study’ with Del?

The obvious answer is,

Proof of the Pudding is in the Playing.

Developing the mental muscle needed to be more than competitive on and off the court, Del provides a comprehensive sports experience for youth in one-on-one and group settings.

Del will assist in resolving technical issues, e.g. free-throw, off-hand dribbling or gain strategic insight into a specific position.

The ‘value’ evidences itself not just in the intrinsic qualities, attitude, focus, critical thinking skills, but in the extrinsic, how the Game is played, carriage, personal interactions.

He offers private consultation and training sessions for those in need of intensive workouts which is of advantage to high school, college, and professional level players.

“I felt that my coaching ‘intuition’ was so strong that I would serve the sport better in the capacity of a ‘skills developer’, a mentor/analyst/consultant, ‘coach’, than as a player.

My Philosophy evolves from 3 Basics;

1) Motivate the Players to learn by teaching through the appropriate modalities
2) Use the Energy of Emotion, teaching ‘proper attitude and its use’.
3) Challenge the mental and physical abilities

I am constantly researching information and products to better prepare the players. I believe that conditioning is one of the foundations to basketball, and ‘conditioning’ is mental as well as physical.
The second is Skills, Skills, Skills. “

Highly recommended are the small group sessions. Group training allows each athlete to evaluate their process against other qualified players while Delvin assesses their skillset in an actual competitive environment.

To accomplish the Winning Mindset Delvin views films and video, scours the Web and picks the brain of friends, associates and competitors, to acquire a pool of knowledge to share.

“Regardless of age or level of performance, each player has individual needs. Allow me to help you evaluate which combination of basketball training sessions and services will work best for your child, the player.”
